Nea Salamina signs Hungarian goalkeeper Daniel Kovacs

Nea Salamina Famagusta has officially signed 32-year-old Hungarian goalkeeper Daniel Kovacs. The agreement covers a one-year period with an option to extend for an additional season. Kovacs joins from the Hungarian club Nyiregyhaza Spartacus, where he served as the primary goalkeeper. His previous professional experience includes stints at the Hungarian club Fehervar, the Greek club Volos NPS, and a brief period with the reserve team of the Brazilian club Fluminense. Standing 1.90 meters tall, Kovacs aims to increase competition and quality in the team's goalkeeping position alongside existing players Varo and Vaciulik. The signing was approved by the club's manager, Angel Gomez, who previously coached the player during his time in Greece. Reports indicate the athlete was born in January 1994 in Gyula, Hungary, and began his youth career at Bekescsaba in 2008 before joining Vasas in 2011.
