Historic Harley-Davidson motorcycle of Archbishop Makarios III restored

A historic Harley-Davidson motorcycle, previously housed in the Cyprus Police Museum, has been fully restored to operational condition after being inactive for over 50 years. The motorcycle was part of the official security detail for Archbishop Makarios III, the first President of the Republic of Cyprus. It was originally donated to the Archbishop by a Cypriot expatriate in the United States, along with two other motorcycles and a Cadillac. For many years, the vehicle served as the lead in official processions for the head of state. The restoration project was carried out through a collaboration between the Cyprus Police and Harley-Davidson Cyprus. The company covered the entirety of the refurbishment costs. The motorcycle is now fully functional and remains part of the police museum's collection as a significant historical artifact.
