Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and Cyprus Symphony Orchestra sign cooperation agreement

On June 16, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cultural events. The agreement, signed by CyBC Director General Thanasis Tsokos and Foundation Chairman Gaston Hadjianastasiou, takes effect on January 1, 2026. It will remain in force for 12 months with an automatic annual renewal option after December 31, 2026. Under the agreement, CyBC will record and broadcast concerts by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra across its radio, television, and online platforms. The initiative includes live coverage of the orchestra's performance at Eleftheria Square this September and future international tours, including a Youth Symphony appearance in Vienna. Additionally, the parties will collaborate on thematic productions, such as a radio feature for European Music Day on June 21, and provide access to archival concert footage. The partnership aims to systematically document and promote the work of both musical ensembles to the public.
