Vehicle arson incidents reported in Nicosia and Limassol
Several arson incidents targeting vehicles occurred in Cyprus during the early hours of Friday. In the Agioi Omologites area of Nicosia, a 23-year-old woman's vehicle was destroyed by fire at 01:10, causing damage to an adjacent building, a gym, and nearby shops. Firefighters evacuated one resident from a third-floor apartment during the operation. Police are currently investigating whether the woman or another building resident was the intended target. Meanwhile, in the Limassol district, two separate arson cases were reported. Around 01:30, a lorry cabin was destroyed in the village of Moni. Later, at approximately 04:00 in Kato Polemidia, two luxury vehicles belonging to a 52-year-old businessman and his company were set on fire outside his residence. Authorities have cordoned off all scenes for further investigation and are working to determine the perpetrators' motives.
