Exhibition of Georgios Pol. Georgiou opens at the Hellenic Centre in London
The exhibition titled 'Georgios Pol. Georgiou: Cyprus Eternal' opened at the Hellenic Centre in London as part of the cultural program for the 2026 Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council. Curated by Loukia Loizou Hadjigavriel and Katerina Stefanidou, the exhibition showcases works from the 1940s and 1950s drawn from both public and private collections. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Minister of Culture Lina Kassianidou in the presence of High Commissioner Kyriakos Kourous. A key feature of this exhibition is the inclusion of several paintings that remained inaccessible for decades following the 1974 events. These specific pieces were recovered and returned through the Bi-communal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage. The showcase will remain open to the public until June 22. It follows an initial successful presentation previously held in Nicosia and represents one of the most significant international exhibitions of the artist's work to date.
