Police investigate stabbing incidents in Paphos and Ayia Napa
Two separate stabbing incidents occurred in Cyprus this Wednesday. In Paphos, at approximately 8:30 am, a 30-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 31-year-old acquaintance in the neck at a private residence, with police currently searching for the suspect. In a separate incident in Ayia Napa at 4:30 am, a violent brawl outside a nightclub involving three Cypriots and two Israeli tourists resulted in four injuries. A 21-year-old Israeli national was arrested at the scene, and police are considering a second arrest. The victims in Ayia Napa include two 22-year-olds, a 25-year-old, and a 41-year-old, with one 22-year-old in serious condition. A knife was seized at the Ayia Napa location, and investigations into both cases are ongoing by local authorities.
