Famagusta District Self-Government Organization reports 74.72% license completion rate

The Famagusta District Self-Government Organization (EOA) announced that it has processed 3,373 out of 4,514 received license applications, resulting in a 74.72% completion rate. The total number of processed applications consists of 1,804 urban planning permits and 1,569 building permits. Regarding the outcomes of the completed applications, 3,191 (94.60%) were approved, 149 (4.42%) were rejected, and 33 (0.98%) were withdrawn. The organization noted that the low rejection rate reflects an effort to provide guidance and ensure procedural accuracy. Additionally, performance in 2026 shows an increase in activity compared to the previous year. Specifically, 926 permits have been issued in the current period of 2026, compared to 602 in the corresponding period of 2025. This represents a 53.82% increase in productivity for the organization.
