AEK Larnaca appoints Mauro Camoranesi as head coach

AEK Larnaca FC has officially appointed 49-year-old Mauro Camoranesi as the new head coach of the football team. The agreement with the Argentine-Italian coach is set for a duration of one year. Camoranesi was chosen by the club's administration, specifically by Xavi Roca. During his professional career, he played for Hellas Verona, Juventus, and VfB Stuttgart, and won the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy. His managerial experience includes roles in Mexico, Argentina, Slovenia, France, and Malta. During the 2024/25 season, he managed Karmiotissa and Anorthosis in Cyprus. This appointment marks his return to Cypriot football following his recent tenure at Anorthosis.
