AEK Larnaca appoints Mauro Camoranesi as new head coach
AEK Larnaca has officially appointed 49-year-old Mauro Camoranesi as their new head coach on a one-year contract. The club will hold a press conference to present the Italian-Argentinian coach on Tuesday, June 23, at the AEK Arena. Camoranesi is tasked with leading the team through the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, starting with the match against Beitar. To address significant injury concerns from the previous season, the club hired Juan Torrijo to lead the performance and medical department. Additionally, the technical staff has been bolstered with the arrival of Iñaki Astiz, Adrian Lucero, and Miguel Henrique. Other staff members, including goalkeeper coach Arian Beqaj, remain with the team. Carles Martinez has been appointed as the new chief scout.
