Nick Calathes signs two-year contract with PAOK
On June 15, PAOK officially announced the signing of 37-year-old point guard Nick Calathes. The experienced athlete has signed a two-year contract, with reports suggesting his total salary will exceed 2.5 million euros, keeping him with the Thessaloniki club until the summer of 2028. Calathes arrives from Partizan Belgrade, where he played 31 EuroLeague games during the last season, averaging 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. In his first official interview with the club, he expressed excitement about returning to Greece and emphasized the strong bond between PAOK and Partizan. Calathes is recognized as the all-time steals leader in EuroLeague history and has previously played for major clubs including Panathinaikos, Lokomotiv Kuban, Barcelona, Fenerbahce, and Monaco. His arrival in Thessaloniki was confirmed following his arrival to finalize the deal with the club's sports director, Giorgos Tsiaras. The player stated his goal is to help the team build something special, while acknowledging the need to maintain his motivation at this stage of his career.
