Cypriot Foreign Minister visits San Marino

On June 16, 2026, Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos conducted the first official visit by a Cypriot Foreign Minister to the Republic of San Marino. The visit served to mark 40 years of bilateral relations and aligned with the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. During his stay, Minister Kombos held meetings with his counterpart, Luca Beccari, and the Regents of San Marino, Alice Mina and Vladimiro Selva. The discussions covered bilateral cooperation, EU-San Marino relations, and international issues. The ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding higher education and research. Additionally, Minister Kombos addressed members of the Congress of San Marino and delivered a lecture. He was also awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Agatha.
