Omonia football club settles 14-year legal dispute with agents

Omonia Nicosia President Marios Argyridis announced the conclusion of a 14-year legal dispute involving the agents of former players Iago Bouzon, Victor Espasandin, and Jesus Rueda. The dispute, which originated from past financial claims, has been finally resolved following a series of negotiations. The agents initially demanded 473,000 euros, but the club successfully negotiated the settlement down to 133,000 euros. This outcome represents a total savings of approximately 340,000 euros for the association. Separately, the club reported an overall debt reduction, with total liabilities decreasing from 7.1 million euros at the end of 2024 to 6.4 million euros as of December 31, 2025. Of this current debt, 2.1 million euros pertains to the association while 4.3 million euros is categorized differently. These financial disclosures were made during the club's Ordinary General Assembly.
