Cyprus Writers Union to award Kostas Lymbouris the G.F. Pierides prize

The Cyprus Writers Union (ELK) will hold the 2025 G.F. Pierides Prize award ceremony on June 24, 2026, at 19:30 in the Kastelliotissa Hall, Nicosia. The event is dedicated to the memory of Olga Pieridou and is held under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, with Allwyn serving as the event sponsor. Speakers include Deputy Ministry Director Giorgos Papageorgiou, ELK President Eleftherios Ploutarchou, publisher Andreas Chatzithomas, and historian Dr. Giorgos Georgis. The program, moderated by Evdokia Zorpidou, will feature a musical performance by Savvas Savva. Kostas Lymbouris is being honored for his extensive contributions to education and his literary career as an award-winning prose writer. His portfolio includes four short story collections that reached the state literary prize shortlist, and he has received two state awards for literature. The ceremony will conclude with a reception.
