Political parties call for criminal investigation into mafia state report

Meanwhile, the Democratic Change party has labeled the findings a blow to the rule of law and urged that the investigation proceed without the involvement of the Legal Service to avoid potential bias. The report reportedly suggests potential criminal offenses involving high-ranking officials and entities, including former President Nikos Anastasiades. Officials mentioned in the report have denied the findings, labeling them as inaccurate. Parties reiterate the necessity of transparency and zero tolerance for corruption to preserve institutional credibility.
