iFX EXPO International 2026 takes place in Limassol
The iFX EXPO International 2026 conference was held from June 16 to 18 in Limassol, Cyprus, at the City of Dreams Mediterranean venue. The event attracted over 6,500 attendees, 200 exhibitors, and 120 speakers representing the global fintech and online trading sectors. George Theocharides, Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), opened the main sessions on Wednesday with a focus on regulatory scrutiny and European policy compliance. Throughout the three days, participants engaged in discussions across the Speaker Hall and the Mastery Hub regarding digital assets, payment technologies, artificial intelligence, and market integrity. Outgoing Fiscal Council president Michalis Persianis and Darius Anucauskas of Markets.com held a session on the macro shock era, specifically examining the resilience of smaller open economies like Cyprus. The conference addressed the pressures of geopolitical tension on global trade and the necessity for robust trading infrastructure. The programme covered diverse operational trends, including client acquisition and changing retail trader behavior. The event highlighted the intersection of financial technology growth and increasingly stringent regulatory environments within the European Union.
