Cypriot Finance Minister meets with Ontario Minister of Economic Development

Cypriot Finance Minister Makis Keravnos met with Victor Anthony Fedeli, the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade of the Canadian province of Ontario. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral economic and commercial relations between Cyprus and Canada. Both officials acknowledged the current high level of cooperation and discussed methods for mutual future enhancement. Fedeli praised the performance of the Cypriot economy and expressed interest in increasing Canadian investments within the Republic of Cyprus. In response, Keravnos outlined the comparative advantages of Cyprus as an investment destination. He specifically highlighted the country's potential to act as a strategic gateway for investments into the European Union. The two officials also exchanged views on broader international economic developments of mutual interest.
