Paphos municipality initiates maintenance and safety improvements in Anavargos

On Thursday, the municipality of Paphos launched cleaning and maintenance operations in the Anavargos district. This initiative follows reports of overgrown vegetation and unpruned trees near a local kindergarten, which officials deemed a safety risk. The municipal council identified two abandoned properties adjacent to the kindergarten that appeared to be neglected and subject to unauthorized entry. Concerns were raised by local residents and parents regarding potential antisocial behavior associated with these vacant buildings. The municipality is currently conducting pruning and area clearing to restore safety to the school environment. Simultaneously, road safety improvements continue near the Paphos hospital roundabout. These infrastructure works aim to enhance accessibility and public safety in both locations.
