Forensic testing in Aigio double homicide investigation

Recent forensic laboratory tests in the Aigio double homicide case failed to detect DNA, gunshot residue, or blood on the clothing of the 65-year-old Italian suspect. The investigation determined that the weapon used in the crime contained fingerprints belonging to the deceased mother and her son, with no gunshot residue found on their clothing either. Authorities allege that the suspect attempted to stage the scene by placing the weapon in the mother's hands after killing her and her son. Police investigators contend that it is impossible for the mother to have murdered her son and subsequently inflicted more than 20 stab wounds upon herself. Evidence also suggests that the crime scene had been cleaned, as the interior areas of the house were found to be sanitized. The suspect has not provided an explanation regarding the location of the mop and bucket utilized to clean the scene. Despite the absence of physical evidence on the suspect's clothing, authorities continue to build their case based on the inconsistencies at the scene.
