New York Knicks celebrate first NBA championship in 53 years

The New York Knicks won their first NBA championship since 1973 by defeating the San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in the series. The deciding game ended with a 94-90 victory at the Frost Bank Center. To commemorate the title, a large parade was organized in Manhattan, following a route from Battery Park along Broadway to City Hall. Thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the team, which includes players such as Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart. Club legends Walt Frazier and Patrick Ewing were also present for the festivities. During the parade, some fans used imagery of Victor Wembanyama to mock the opposing team. This event marks the end of a 53-year title drought for the franchise.
