Iran's Supreme Leader approves memorandum of understanding with the United States

On June 18, 2026, Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, announced his formal approval of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Tehran and Washington. He further committed that Iran would not concede to any excessive demands made by the United States during the implementation of the MoU.
