Nicosia Municipal Theatre launches free summer event series

The Nicosia Municipal Theatre is introducing a new series of free-admission events titled "On the Side." These gatherings will take place in the theatre's outdoor areas and garden on the last Sunday of each month, starting June 28 and continuing through the end of August. The events feature a program of live music, stand-up comedy, and film screenings, accompanied by an outdoor bar service. The inaugural event, "Jazz on the Side," is scheduled for June 28 from 17:00 to 23:00. Curated by Christos Yerolatsitis, the opening session will showcase three Cypriot jazz groups: Trio in Cahoots, the Charis Ioannou Quartet, and Chunky Funky. Performances will span various genres, ranging from jazz standards to contemporary jazz and funk rhythms. Attendees can access the venue throughout the evening free of charge.
