Recent traffic accidents and road incidents in Cyprus
Between June 18 and June 21, 2026, several traffic incidents occurred across Cyprus. On June 18, a bus collided with multiple vehicles in Ypsonas-Kato Polemidia, Limassol, with no official police report filed. On June 19, two vehicles collided on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, injuring two people. Also on June 19, a 33-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter were injured after their car struck a guardrail on the Paphos-Limassol motorway near Kandou; reports indicate the child was not wearing a seatbelt. On the same day, a vehicle overturned on Omonia Avenue in Limassol after being cut off by a double-cab truck. Additionally, a car crashed onto a sidewalk in Limassol on June 20. On June 21, a three-vehicle collision occurred near the Rizoelia roundabout towards Larnaca, resulting in significant congestion but no injuries. Earlier, on June 20, the Paphos-Limassol highway at Kandou was temporarily closed following a serious accident, but it has since reopened.
