Cyprus Police Academy concludes the 2025-2026 academic year

On Friday, the Cyprus Police Academy held its closing ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year. Minister of Justice and Public Order Costas Fytiris attended the event to address the attendees and present awards. The minister emphasized that the government prioritizes the modernization, effectiveness, and professional training of the police force. During the ceremony, awards were given to police officers who placed first and second in the 2026 Police Rotating Cup competition. Additionally, members who excelled in the Basic Criminal Investigation Training Program received recognition. Cadets who achieved top rankings in their respective 2025-2026 academic year training series were also honored. Fytiris stated that these accolades reflect the dedication, discipline, and consistent effort required for professional police development. The ceremony concluded with a focus on the necessity of continuous education to meet modern policing challenges.
