Cyprus University of Technology announces development plan through 2030
The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr. Athena Michaelidou, announced that the government supports the strategic development plan of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) for the period 2023-2030. The plan includes infrastructure and research projects with a total value exceeding €300 million. The initiative aims to upgrade laboratory facilities, student infrastructure, and promote the Technology Park. University Rector, Professor Panayiotis Zaphiris, highlighted the institution's commitment to internationalization, specifically its participation in the European University of Technology (EUt+) alliance. The university is currently expanding its academic offerings with new programs in Limassol, such as Occupational Therapy and Data Science, and in Paphos, including a new program in Food Service Management. Additionally, the university is evaluating the introduction of undergraduate programs in foreign languages to attract international students. Plans are also underway to establish the first public university sports academy in Cyprus.
