Three-year-old child injured after falling into crocodile enclosure in Cambridgeshire

A three-year-old child remains in critical but stable condition after falling into a crocodile enclosure at the Johnsons of Old Hurst zoo in Cambridgeshire, UK. According to police reports, a 30-year-old man from Norfolk, who was not known to the victim, allegedly threw the child over a fence from a height of approximately 4.5 meters. The suspect, who reportedly has learning disabilities, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Following an assessment, authorities released the man on bail until September 18, as he was deemed unfit for police questioning at this time. Tracey Johnson, the wife of the zoo's owner, entered the enclosure immediately following the incident to assist the child. The facility has closed its zoo section until further notice while investigations continue.
