Toddler critically injured in crocodile enclosure at Johnsons of Old Hurst

A three-year-old boy remains in critical but stable condition after being attacked by a crocodile at the Johnsons of Old Hurst zoo near Huntingdon, England, on Thursday. Zoo staff pulled the child from the enclosure, where he had been attacked after entering. The boy was treated at the scene and transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. A 30-year-old man from Norfolk was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released on bail until September 18. Police stated that the man, who is not known to the victim, was found unfit for interview due to his physical or mental state. Local media reports suggest the wife of the zoo's owner may have intervened to rescue the child, though police have not formally confirmed this.
