Police investigate suspicious incident at Kiti bank

On Friday shortly after 14:00, two masked individuals arrived at a bank branch in Kiti, Larnaca, in a saloon vehicle. The suspects, who were carrying sports-style bags, approached the entrance of the building. Access was denied because the bank's controlled security system prevented the doors from opening. After failing to enter, the two individuals returned to their vehicle and fled the scene. Larnaca Police and CID members immediately cordoned off the area to conduct forensic examinations. While some media reports characterize the event as an attempted robbery, official police sources state that the intent remains under investigation. No injuries were reported, and no property or money was stolen during the incident. Law enforcement authorities are currently searching for the suspects.
