Barcelona pivots to Justin Robinson following failed Mike James negotiations

Mike James, who recently announced his departure from AS Monaco, is now exploring other options while seeking a team capable of competing for championship titles. Reports indicate that the discussions between Barcelona and James failed, despite previous speculation linking the 35-year-old guard to the Catalan club. Mike James averaged 16.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game during the most recent EuroLeague season. Meanwhile, Barcelona is evaluating the 29-year-old Justin Robinson, who is 1.85 meters tall. Robinson recorded averages of 14.6 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 36 EuroLeague appearances. His prior experience in Spain, having played for Breogan during the 2023/24 season, is considered an advantage for the transition. The player had previously been monitored by Olympiacos as well.
