Developments in Cyprus Football Association regarding judicial officials and presidential salary

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) is facing internal pressure regarding the performance of its judicial bodies. Following controversial decisions made by sports judge Aristotelis Vryonidis concerning the Apollon versus Pafos cup final, various clubs have demanded the immediate replacement of both the sports judge and the disciplinary prosecutor. The CFA Executive Committee has scheduled an extraordinary meeting for Tuesday, June 23, to address these grievances and evaluate the performance of its judicial officials. In a separate development, the CFA Board of Directors has approved a proposal to transition the position of the federation president into a salaried role. This change, which affects president Charis Loizides, was justified by the organization due to the significant daily workload and increased administrative demands of managing Cypriot football.
