Paphos hosts Blue Flag raising ceremony

On Saturday, the Municipality of Paphos held a ceremony to raise the Blue Flag, marking the distinction of seven local beaches. This international award recognizes high standards in quality, safety, and environmental protection. The event took place at the Alexander the Great hotel area and featured music by Maria Gokou, a dance performance by the POLAEK cultural group, and a presentation by Pafos Watersports & Boat Trips. Municipal officials acknowledged key figures for their roles in coastal management, including Beach Committee members Andreas Grigoriadis and Efkleidis Ambrosiadis. Additionally, the Municipality praised municipal employee Andreas Nikolaou and the general staff for their ongoing maintenance and cleaning efforts. The ceremony served to reaffirm the city's commitment to maintaining these environmental standards throughout the year.
