Besiktas makes third bid for Vangelis Pavlidis
Besiktas has submitted a third transfer bid for Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis, currently playing for Benfica. The initial offer was 20 million euros, which was followed by an improved offer of 35 million euros, both rejected by the Portuguese club. The latest bid stands at 40 million euros. Benfica continues to demand 50 million euros to part with the 27-year-old player. Pavlidis is under contract until the summer of 2029. Last season, he scored 30 goals and provided 6 assists in 53 matches across all competitions. Benfica acquired Pavlidis in the summer of 2024 for 18 million euros. While Correio da Manha reports the third offer was formally rejected, A Bola suggests that Benfica's management is currently considering the improved interest from the Turkish club.
