Limassol to host 2026 beach handball tournament

The Cyprus Beach Handball organization, in collaboration with the Cyprus Handball Federation (KOK), has announced the upcoming Limassol Beach Handball Tournament 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from July 3 to July 5, 2026, at the Municipal Beach Sports Center in Limassol. It will feature competitions for men, women, as well as age-based categories for boys and girls, specifically U18 and U16. This tournament serves as the inaugural event of the new Cyprus Beach Handball Series. The series aims to promote the development of the sport through organized matches, educational activities, and international partnerships. This year, the organizers are implementing a pilot program to test a new development model for the sport. The primary objective is to increase competitiveness and provide a higher quality experience for athletes. Special emphasis is placed on the youth categories, which are viewed as the foundation for the future of the sport in Cyprus.
