Tensions rise over Hormuz Strait control as US-Iran talks stall

Trump characterized the US as a 'guardian angel' for the Middle East, suggesting that fees would be used to recover past and future security costs. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed optimism that the ceasefire would hold, stating he had no evidence of a closure. The 60-day period is intended to lead to a final agreement to end conflicts in the region. Iran’s negotiators have officially protested the rhetoric, warning that their military remains ready to respond.
