Establishment of the Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster as an independent entity

On June 11, the Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster (CyDSIC) held its first general assembly at the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). Previously operating under the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises since 2019, the cluster has become an autonomous entity. It now consists of 30 member companies focused on defense, security, and space technology. The stated goals include supporting industrial autonomy, promoting dual-use products, and enhancing cooperation with the European Defence Agency and the European Space Agency. Simultaneously, the Cypriot defense sector is participating in the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris with its largest delegation to date. This delegation includes 13 companies and one Center of Excellence, showcasing over 50 products across various fields such as cybersecurity, AI, and unmanned systems. The national pavilion at Eurosatory is organized by the Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE), CyDSIC, the Ministry of Defence, and the CCCI.
