AEK Larnaca signs Slovenian midfielder Zan Repas

AEK Larnaca has announced an initial agreement with 29-year-old Slovenian midfielder Zan Repas. This marks the first signing for the club since the appointment of new head coach Mauro Camoranesi. The two previously worked together at Maribor during the 2020-21 season, where Repas played 17 matches under the Italian-Argentine manager, contributing two goals and five assists. During that period, Camoranesi publicly praised the player, suggesting in a 2021 interview that Repas possessed the qualities required to compete at a high level. Repas, who primarily plays as a central midfielder, leaves Maribor after a six-year spell, during which he recorded 228 appearances, 27 goals, and 42 assists. Technical director Xavi Roca facilitated the move, leveraging the manager's prior familiarity with the player's tactical profile. The club intends for Repas to provide creativity and versatility to the midfield department.
