Marc Marquez wins the Czech Grand Prix at Brno
Marc Marquez secured his second consecutive victory of the season at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno. The Ducati factory rider finished ahead of Ai Ogura of Trackhouse Aprilia by 0.421 seconds, with Francesco Bagnaia completing the podium in third place. Marquez made the decisive overtake on Bagnaia during the 16th lap of the 21-lap race. Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi was absent from the race after receiving a penalty for reportedly striking a marshal. Jorge Martin finished in ninth place despite serving a double long-lap penalty. Joan Mir took fifth place following a mechanical failure that forced Pedro Acosta to retire on the final lap. This victory allowed Marquez to close the gap in the championship standings to 40 points.
