Cyprus Shipping Deputy Minister to attend shipping summit in Rome
Cyprus Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis will visit Rome from June 22 to June 24, 2026. The purpose of the trip is to participate in the 'Shaping the Future of Shipping Summit 2026 – Forging Partnerships for Resilience' conference. This event is organized by the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) in partnership with the Italian Confederation of Shipowners (CONFITARMA), under the auspices of the European Commission and the Italian government. Hadjimanolis will join a ministerial panel alongside representatives from Italy, Greece, and Malta. During the three-day visit, she is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Greece’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vassilis Kikilias, Malta’s Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonett, and Italy’s Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Edoardo Rixi. The discussions aim to address mutual concerns regarding the maritime sector and enhance cooperation among the participating countries. She will also engage with European Union officials and international maritime representatives.
