Eurostat 2025 data compares food prices in Cyprus with the EU-21 average

For oils and fats, Cyprus recorded an index of 113.4, surpassing the EU-21 average of 98.9 by 14.14%. Conversely, Cyprus remains below the EU-21 average for vegetables and fruit, with respective indices of 90.6 and 95 against benchmarks of 101.9 and 104.2. Bread and cereals in Cyprus are priced at 104.2, slightly above the EU-21 average of 103.3. Regional comparisons indicate that Greece shares similar price trends in certain categories, such as bread and cereals at 104.2 and milk products at 129.9. While some EU nations like Denmark and France face higher costs in specific goods, countries like Bulgaria, Poland, and Spain often report lower price indices.
