Cypriot startup MammoCheck wins 16th NBG Business Seeds competition
The Cypriot startup MammoCheck secured first place at the 16th NBG Business Seeds Innovation and Technology Competition held in Athens. The startup competed against 344 entries from Greece, Cyprus, and abroad. MammoCheck is developing a portable medical device compatible with mobile phones to facilitate breast cancer screening. A total of 12 teams were recognized during the event for their work in sectors including healthcare, artificial intelligence, fintech, and sustainable development. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the National Bank of Greece, various investment organizations, and academic institutions. During the event, champion swimmer Apostolos Siskos shared his career experiences, and last year’s winner, Wealthyhood CEO Alexandros Christodoulakis, discussed his company’s post-competition progress. The NBG Business Seeds program, active since 2010, provides funding and mentoring to support innovative startups and research teams in the region.
