Stefano Sensi transfers from Anorthosis to CSKA Sofia

Stefano Sensi has officially concluded his transfer from Anorthosis to the Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia as of June 24, 2026. The 30-year-old Italian midfielder departs after CSKA Sofia activated his 200,000 euro release clause. Despite Anorthosis offering a three-year contract extension worth 400,000 euros annually, Sensi opted for the Bulgarian club's offer, which reportedly exceeds 750,000 euros per year. Sensi will join his new teammates in Austria, where CSKA is currently conducting its pre-season training camp. The player expressed his gratitude to the Anorthosis family in an emotional farewell statement, pledging to remain a supporter of the club. During his tenure at the Cypriot side, Sensi recorded 9 goals and 6 to 7 assists in 25 league matches. The move marks a significant loss for Anorthosis, which is currently hampered by a transfer embargo preventing immediate replacement of the player.
