Woman arrested in Limassol for assaulting a police officer
On the morning of June 22, at approximately 9:40, Limassol police responded to reports of an intoxicated woman sitting in the middle of the road. Upon arrival, officers found a 40-year-old tourist appearing disoriented and unable to communicate. She was transported to a local police station for identification. While at the station, the woman began shouting and using abusive language in English toward the officers. During attempts to calm her, she pushed and bit a police officer on the left arm. The officer was examined by a doctor and sustained minor injuries, specifically scratches and a bruise. The woman was subsequently arrested and remains in custody. Sources identified her as a 40-year-old visitor from Russia.
