Tourist arrested in Limassol for assaulting a police officer
On Monday, June 22, Limassol police received a report at approximately 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. regarding an intoxicated 40-year-old female tourist. The woman was discovered on a sidewalk with her feet protruding into the road. Upon arriving at the scene, officers determined the individual was disoriented and unable to communicate clearly. She was transported to the Agios Ioannis police station for further processing. While at the station, the woman allegedly began shouting and swearing in English. She then reportedly pushed an officer and bit him on the hand. A medical examination confirmed that the officer did not sustain serious injuries. The suspect remains in custody following the incident.
