AEK Larnaca prepares for the new season under Mauro Camoranesi

AEK Larnaca has officially begun preparations for the 2026-2027 season under the guidance of new head coach Mauro Camoranesi. The team will travel to Mierlo, Netherlands, for a training camp scheduled from June 29 to July 11. Technical director Xavi Roca has already secured eight new signings: Mike van der Hoorn, Jan Repas, Amor Layouni, Ivan Panckov, Kostas Pileas, Zacharias Adoni, Nicolas Andereggen, and Vedad Muftic. The club has scheduled four friendly matches, including high-profile games against PAOK, Ajax, and Helmond Sport, followed by a final test against Apollon on July 16. These preparations are vital as AEK faces a difficult second qualifying round in the Conference League against Beitar Jerusalem, with matches set for July 23 and July 30. The team aims to improve on recent performances to challenge for the domestic title. Ongoing roster adjustments, including potential departures and further signings, are expected throughout the summer.
