Nikos Tornaritis honored by the EPP group in Strasbourg

During the Summer Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the European People's Party (EPP) group held a formal dinner. The event honored Nikos Tornaritis, the head of the Cypriot delegation and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly, as he concludes his long parliamentary career. Pablo Hispan, President of the EPP group in the Assembly, delivered a speech praising Tornaritis for his contributions to the Council of Europe, his initiatives, and his personal integrity. Hispan noted that Tornaritis's presence would be missed within the Assembly. In response, Tornaritis expressed his gratitude to the EPP group for their years of collaboration, friendship, and trust. He described his participation in the Parliamentary Assembly as one of the most significant chapters of his public life. The ceremony served as a formal acknowledgment of his tenure before his departure.
