Apollon Limassol in negotiations to sign Connor Goldson from Aris

Apollon Limassol is currently in advanced negotiations to sign 33-year-old English central defender Connor Goldson. The player, who is currently under contract with Aris Limassol for one more year, is reportedly no longer in the team's plans. While Apollon has reached a verbal agreement with the player regarding a two-year contract, the finalization of the transfer depends on resolving the compensation details between Goldson and Aris. Goldson is expected to return to Cyprus shortly to conclude the process. Once signed, he is intended to partner with Josef Kvinda in the central defense. During his time at Aris, the experienced defender recorded 62 appearances, three goals, and one assist. His previous career includes extensive experience with Rangers, including an appearance in the 2022 Europa League final, as well as spells at Shrewsbury and Brighton.
