Devlet Bahceli reiterates support for two-state solution in Cyprus

During a parliamentary group meeting of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), leader Devlet Bahceli reaffirmed his rejection of a federal solution for the Cyprus issue. Bahceli criticized the European Union, Greece, and the Republic of Cyprus, describing their policies as biased and harmful to Turkish interests. He declared the era of seeking cooperation from Ankara while criticizing Turkey's 'Blue Homeland' doctrine to be over. The MHP leader insisted that the 'Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' is an essential outpost for the Turkish nation. Furthermore, he dismissed international criticism, stating that such feedback from Brussels holds no weight for Turkey. His speech included aggressive rhetoric directed at those who challenge Turkish sovereignty in the region.
