Ilias Charalampous appointed as new head coach of Levadiakos
Levadiakos has reached an agreement to appoint 45-year-old Cypriot manager Ilias Charalampous as their new head coach. He replaces Nikos Papadopoulos, who departed the Greek club to join APOEL. Charalampous arrives after a three-year tenure at FCSB (Steaua Bucharest), where he secured two league titles in 2024 and 2025, as well as two Super Cups in 2025 and 2026. During his time in Romania, he was also recognized as the top coach in the country twice. Previously, Charalampous managed Ethnikos Achnas and Doxa Katokopias in Cyprus, and worked as an assistant at Hatta in the UAE. His career began at AEK Larnaca, where he transitioned from a player to an assistant coach and briefly served as an interim manager. This appointment marks his first managerial role in the Greek Super League.
