Apollon Limassol extends contract with sporting director Makis Papaioannou

Apollon Limassol has officially announced the extension of its contract with sporting director Makis Papaioannou. The new agreement secures his position with the club until May 2028. Papaioannou originally joined the Limassol-based team in May 2023. Prior to his tenure at Apollon, he served as a technical director for several other Cypriot clubs, including Nea Salamina, Omonia Nicosia, Ethnikos Achnas, and Ermis Aradippou. The announcement was formalized by Apollon Football (Public) Ltd. This strategic move is aimed at stabilizing the club's management structure and transfer planning. The club officially confirmed the extension through statements released in late June 2026.
