University of Nicosia holds law school graduation ceremony

On Monday, June 22, 2026, the University of Nicosia held a graduation ceremony for its law school students. Speakers included Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection Dr. Nikolas A. Ioannidis, Rector Professor Philippos Pouyioutas, and Dean of the Law School Professor Achilleas K. Emilianides. During the event, Professor Kevin Featherstone, former Director of the Hellenic Observatory at the LSE, was named an Honorary Doctor of the Law School. Additionally, Emeritus Professor Andreas Theophanous was honored for his academic contributions. Outstanding graduates Maxim Pekush and Chrysanthi Tsangari were recognized for their achievements, and Andreas Papadopoulos received an award for social contribution. Dr. Ioannidis emphasized the importance of law in state policy, particularly concerning migration and public order.
