Three arrested for illegal property transfer in Nicosia

On June 15, 2026, two individuals aged 61 and 63 filed a police complaint regarding the unauthorized transfer of their property in Nicosia to a third party. Following the investigation, a 56-year-old woman was arrested on June 18, 2026, and remanded in custody for eight days by the Nicosia District Court. Subsequent evidence led to the arrest of two additional suspects, aged 62 and 76, on June 21 and 22, 2026, respectively. Both individuals were also brought before the Nicosia District Court, which ordered their detention for eight days to facilitate the investigation. The suspects face charges including conspiracy to defraud, fraudulent real estate transactions, and forgery of documents. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently continuing its inquiries into the matter.
